01. Be rebellious

In October of 2020 Dr. Martens approached Supply and asked us to help them reimagine their Filmmaker Series website. They wanted to break free of the existing design contraints imposed on them by their e-commerce platform and explore new ways to showcase and celebrate the artists they planned to feature in their film series.
Our recommendation was to ditch the blog style format they had been using and instead lean into an episodic content strategy that would treat each film more like the latest episode in an ongoing web series.

02. Create fan art for fans

For each episode we created a showcase page that celebrates the individuality and rebeliousness of each artist, taking inspiration from their work as welll as the the scrappy, do-it yourself ethos of the Dr. Martens brand.
